Juniors receive instruction on fundamentals and are placed on teams for league play.

Curling News
The 2009-20010 curling season is well underway. The Wakaw & District Curling Club seems to be experiencing an upsurge in the number of active curlers. In the 2008/2009 season we had an increase of 24 curlers. Our numbers are up again this year, although not as many. We have three new teams in the Regular League this year: Chase Shevernoha and his young team of brother Cruz, Levi Peterson and Ray Shevernoha; Heidi Sauer and her team of Dan Sauer, Andrew Kalynka and Whitney Cousin; Virginia Kostyniuk and her team Natasha Kostyniuk, Diane Ruf and Emily Kostyniuk.
The high school girls team and the high school boys team have decided not to play in the Regular League this year.
As a result of the organizing efforts of Gord Kidd, the Seniors
Wednesday Afternoon League is active again. We have six teams of three curlers each. The seniors would like to welcome Evelyn Hegedus, Ann Marie Kramchynski, Dennis & Chris Lemon, and Marcel Miskolczi to the Seniors League.
The Curling Club is introducing a new funspiel this year called Jack and Jill (Two Person) Bonspiel. The date for this spiel is Dec. 18 -19. Entry fee is $10/curler. The curlers will be shooting for Xmas turkeys and fine Australian Wine.
